The Parca Auxiliary
invites you to a
Gathering on the Green
on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at
a Private Estate in Hillsborough

Garden Glory: The annual Luncheon & Fashion Show will take place in an elegant garden on a beautiful Hillsborough estate. While lunching on gourmet fare, enjoy a fashion show featuring the latest apparel trends from national and local merchants.  And, get ready to feel a flutter of excitement -- the luncheon also includes an exciting live auction, a fabulous silent auction and raffle prizes!

Come Smell the Roses:  We invite the community to support the Parca Auxiliary, created in 1985, to raise awareness and support for Parca Organization.  This event enables Parca to provide much needed programs and services to adults and children with developmental disabilities and to their families in the Bay Area.  Last year, the event raised $140,000 for the Parca Organization with over 300 guests in attendance.

Branching Out: Your business has an opportunity to reach a key audience. Approximately 400 attendees are expected this year including key local influential women and important community supporters.  Your patronage brings your business to the favorable attention of this demographic and contributes significantly to the community.

The Buzz:  Each year as our event grows, so does the attention it receives from both broadcast and print media. This year’s event will be no exception.  For the last two years, the luncheon has been covered on NBC11 News during prime time.  The event also was covered in the San Francisco Chronicle and received extensive coverage in several notable newspapers and regional magazines such as Gentry Magazine, the San Jose Mercury News, the Nob Hill Gazette, the San Mateo County Times, the Daily News and the Independent.

Tending To The Cause: Parca Organization is a private, nonprofit association that serves people with developmental disabilities and their families in the Bay Area.  Founded in 1952, Parca is committed to providing opportunities to people with developmental disabilities of all ages, to help them experience choice, control and individuality in every area of their lives.  In addition to skills training for adults, Parca offers respite care for children and teens; childcare and recreational programs for children; and support groups, information and referral services for families.
